Why is my card being declined?


Don't worry — a declined card doesn't always mean something is wrong on your end. Here are the most common reasons and what to do:


1 — Your bank blocked the transaction 

Many banks automatically flag crypto purchases as suspicious. Try calling your bank or enabling international/online transactions in your banking app, then attempt the purchase again.


2 — You've reached your daily limit 

Express Buy has a daily and monthly spend limit for credit card purchases. Check your current usage under Wallets → Transaction History. Your limit resets every 24 hours and 30 days.


3 — Your card type isn't supported 

BTSE currently supports Visa and Mastercard for Express Buy. Certain cards may not be accepted.


4 — 3DS verification failed or timed out 

If you didn't complete your bank's authentication step in time, the transaction gets cancelled. Simply start a new Express Buy and complete the 3DS prompt promptly.
